  • I had a general idea of the indenture system that the British had setup, through observing Indian sounding names across Mauritius, Fiji, Trinidad etc. But never had I thought about it from the perspective of families and descendants of those impacted.

This book is a masterpiece, lucidly written, and the labor of love of a respected alumni, and it hits home hard.

    Must read.
